Jared Ottmers, CFP®

Jared is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. He is also a Registered Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. a Broker/ Dealer member FINRA/SIPC, and an Investment Advisor Representative with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisor. He maintains Series 7 and 66 securities registrations with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. and holds life, accident, and health insurance licenses in the States of Texas. Jared is one of the Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pros, and became a partner in the firm with Mike in March of 2024. 

Prior to joining our team in 2015, Jared worked for Fidelity Investments in Westlake for 8 years. There he held positions within both the Private Client Group and the Institutional Wealth Services departments and was recognized with the Excellence in Action award. 

Previously, Jared led Dave Ramsey’s nationally recognized Financial Peace University with St. Peters Lutheran in Roanoke and served as a board member for their Three Nails Brewery Mission. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis Club in Denton, and Sunshine Spaces, helping build houses for those in need. Jared’s current community involvement includes serving on the leadership team for The Grove Lutheran Church in Bartonville. 

Jared grew up in Corpus Christi and moved to the metroplex in 1999. Jared studied finance at the University of Texas at Arlington where he was President and Treasurer of the Lutheran Student Center. While juggling school and he also worked part-time with FedEx. He now lives in North Fort Worth with his wife, Tenille. They are members of The Grove Lutheran Church in Bartonville. In his leisure time, he enjoys fishing, soccer, mountain biking, watching football, and spending time with family.
